Tower News and Updates

Completion Posted February 26th, 2015

Cabling is complete, sector orientation is complete, back-hauls aimed and functioning. The tower is officially online and capable of delivering service. We would like to give a shout out to Dave Tykoski and Tye Signs for deploying his 168ft crane to assist with lifting our equipment to the top of the tower. Scheduling for service installation will begin the first week of March. The time between now and then will be used obtain performance and stability data in case any modifications are needed.

Finishing Updates Posted February 26th, 2015

Deployment went exceedingly well despite cold temperatures and increasing wind. All mounts are installed, equipment is installed, conduit installed, fiber connectivity installed, electrical connections are installed and operational, top-tower box installed. Today we hope to complete the cabling, sector orientation and back-haul installation.

Deployment Begins Posted February 25th, 2015

We are beginning deployment of the Hart Water Tower today. All preparations were completed in the preceding days. A crane will be onsite to expedite lifting our equipment and tools to the top of the tower. Given the quantity of people onsite in addition to expertise contained therein, we anticipate completing the majority of the project today.

Deployment Preparations Posted February 24th, 2015

Staging mounting hardware, assembling sectors, custom bracket for lower and top boxes, customized conduit hardware, programming equipment along with many other tasks were completed.

Contract Negotiations Posted November, 2014

Discussions and survey work were immensely productive, we decided this tower was viable and would provide a great addition to our wireless network in Oceana County. Negotiations went well and we signed the contract, this project will be on hold until our current projects are completed. It will be early 2015 before the project starts.

I can see the tower, am I serviceable?

Yes, you have an excellent chance of getting internet service, line-of-sight installs are almost always guaranteed to work. If you do not have direct line of site to the tower, chances are you can still get service. We perform free site surveys for all interested customers, please fill out the following form and a representative will contact you shortly.

What if I am close but cannot see the tower?

We use frequencies designed for use in LOS (Line of Site), nLOS (Near Line of Sight) and NLOS (Non-Line of Sight) environments, some of our equipment is designed to penetrate trees, foliage and various types of substrate. Additionally, we have several powerful receiver options at our disposal as well as a myriad of ways the equipment can be mounted. If there is a way, we will spare no means to find and utilize it.

What about the rest of Oceana County?

SyncWave has developed a short and long term strategy for Oceana County, this tower fits into that strategy and is an important piece in handling the challenging terrain elements present in Oceana County. There are several 'pokers in the fire' for Oceana County, this tower is a pre-requisite for those projects and follows a logical progression of expansion deeper into Oceana County.
